My hometown Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in southwest China, is a city where tradition and modernity coexist in vibrant harmony. Known for its leisurely lifestyle, rich cultural heritage, and world-famous cuisine, Chengdu is also celebrated globally as the hometown of the giant panda. A striking example of this is the giant panda installation at Chengdu IFS (International Finance Square), an iconic piece of public art that has become a symbol of the city’s modern identity. Perched dramatically on the outer wall of the Chengdu IFS shopping complex, the panda sculpture—officially named "I Am Here"—is a massive, three-dimensional representation of a climbing panda. I hope you will have the chance to visit my hometown and take a stroll around the city!

Ajijic, Chapala is a magical town cradled by the largest lake in Mexico. It’s also a sacred place for the Wixárika people, who believe it’s the birthplace of humanity. For me, it’s where my roots and my soul meet. Barefoot summers, shared meals, and the kind of laughter that echoes for a lifetime. Now, I’m lucky to call it home. In its still waters and ancient hills, I’ve remembered how to slow down, how to listen to nature, to others, and to myself. This photo was taken at dusk, when the world softens and everything feels like a quiet prayer. After years of chasing medals and carrying expectations, Ajijic taught me something deeper: I don’t always have to push. I can just be. And that, it is there and then, where the light returns.

I usually bring my laptop out here, put on some music, and dive into learning something new, whether it’s a tutorial, an article, or just experimenting with a new skill. The atmosphere is so soothing that even being productive feels relaxing. It’s become my favourite corner of the house, where I can unwind and grow at the same time.

Built by Corona, soaring at Lakehead. In this photo, I stand before the Corona House Birds — the Crane, Heron, Weaver, and Kingfisher — symbols of a place that has been my home for 14 years. I chose not to wear shoes, symbolizing my journey from a barefoot little girl to the determined student I am today. Corona has been my foundation, teaching me to lead with heart, dream without fear, and reach for excellence. I found my voice, passions, and strength to chase my dreams here. Now, as I step into a new chapter at Lakehead University, I carry the lessons and love of Corona, ready to soar higher, with the grace of the Crane, strength of the Heron, creativity of the Weaver, and courage of the Kingfisher.

This photo shows the two most iconic skyscrapers in Tianjin. On the left is the Tianjin International Finance Center (IFC), completed in 2011, and on the right is the Tianjin World Financial Center, completed in 2010. When I was born in 2001, neither of these buildings had even started construction. I want to use this photo to express the rapid development of Tianjin over the past 20 years and the contribution of international trade to China’s growth. This photo is also precious as it was taken on a day with clear skies, as Tianjin often experiences smog that obstructs the skyline. I hope that Tianjin’s sky can remain as blue as it is in this photo in the future.
